Traditional beaded apron from the Kirdi people of North Cameroon, known locally as a Pikuran. It dates from the 20th century, The apron was made with red, blue, and white glass beads, cotton and cowrie shells.

These aprons were traditionally given to a family at the birth of a daughter and later worn during important events such as weddings and other ceremonies.
