Originating from Brazil, this piece dates to the mid-20th century and was once part of a Dutch collection. Made from carved wood, embedded stone fragments, and natural wax, this grater was used to process cassava (manioc), a staple in Amazonian diets. The surface is embedded with sharp stone pieces for grating efficiency.
