Rare Toraja beaded bag from Sulawesi, Indonesia, c.1900–1930. The bag is woven from Pandanus leaves and adorned with glass beads in the classic Toraja interlocking hook motif. The wickerwork is very nice. Once used to carry betelnut equipment in ritual and social exchange, it remains a striking example of Indonesian tribal art.

The condition is very good.
