Beaded ceremonial apron from the Cendrawasih Bay region of Papua, dating to the early 20th century. Made from glass beads, plant fibers, and cotton.

The design features a diamond pattern in multiple colors It has cotton cloth tassels at the ends.

Traditionally, a bride-to-be received this beadwork as a bridal prize from her future husband, who had it made by his mother.
Condition: Some restorations, consistent with age and use.
