Gulewa cooking pot from Egum Atoll, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea, handmade from clay using the traditional spiral and ring coiling technique. This thin-walled vessel features a rounded base and is decorated with parallel wavy line motifs, reflecting the refined pottery traditions of the region. Dating to before 1980, the pot was originally used for cooking over an open fire. With its balanced form and subtle decoration, it is a beautiful example of Oceanic tribal pottery.
