Antique Balinese polychrome painted wooden statue depicting the Hindu god Vishnu riding Garuda, Bali, Indonesia, circa 1910–1920. Vishnu is shown with a grey body, wearing a predominantly red crown. He holds a spear in his right hand while his left hand grasps the fold of his robe. Garuda, with a yellow-orange body and a protruding tongue supports Vishnu and holds his feet with his hands. The figure has separate wings and tail and stands on a black pedestal inscribed in white block letters: “INI WISNOE NOENGGANG GEROEDA.
