This traditional Balinese black ink drawing from Bali, Indonesia, depicts the story of a lunar eclipse. The composition features the moon goddess Dewi Ratih and the demon Kala Rahu, who according to Balinese mythology causes eclipses by swallowing the moon.

Executed in black ink on paper. There is handwritten text on the reverse. The work comes from the collection of M. Punter.
