This Aceh water container originates from North Sumatra, Indonesia. Traditionally crafted from a natural gourd wrapped in finely woven plant fibers, this vessel is richly decorated with brass elements. (spout and stop, leaf motifs on the gourd surface). The natural fiber wickerwork is in excellent condition.
