This hand-carved spoon was made by the Atoni people of Timor around 1900. It is made from buffalo horn and decorated with animal motifs, including six birds. The piece comes from the collection of J. de Hoog, former conservator of the Museum Nusantara, Delft and it comes with a custom made base.
