This rare Fu signal horn comes from the Asmat people of West Papua. Made from bamboo, it was used during headhunting raids to scare enemies and, later, to inform the village of the raid’s outcome.The horn produces a deep sound and held both practical and symbolic meaning in Asmat culture. Nice object of Oceanic tribal art, ethnographic objects, or those interested in the traditional life of Papua.
