This is an original shaman drumstick from the Gajo people of Central-Western Nepal. It is carved from wood and topped with an ancestor figure holding a drum. The drumstick was used in shamanic rituals and dates to the early 20th century. It is in good condition, with signs of age and use. A rare and authentic piece of tribal art with Dutch provenance.
